Intrado 2009 Colorado School Resource Officer of the Year
Longmont Master Officer Craig Mansanares, Skyline High School’s school resource officer, is the Intrado Colorado.School resource Officer of the Year 2009.
    “Craig’s definitely a leader to a lot of SRO's across the state,” said Ted Bathauer, a Lone Tree police officer and SRO, who nominated Mansanares for the SRO of the Year award from the Colorado Association of School Resource Officers. Mansanares received the award Tuesday July 6th, 2009 at the Colorado Association of School resource Officer's conference in Breckenridge. 
    Mansanares was recognized for his long time commitment to the safety and welfare of Colorado's School children. Mansanares is a lifetime member of CASRO and served for many years as the organizations President. Mansanares currently serves on the Colorado School Safety Resource Center Board.

Adams County School District 14 Risk facilities manager, Teri Abbott, is the Intrado Colorado Association of School Resource Officers Educator of the year 2009.
   "if there is a more valuable team member to the school district then I don't know who it is. it is because of Teri that we have processes, programs and procedures in place that are cutting edge and other school districts copy." Stated Mike Grandstaff, Chief operating officer for ACSD 14.
    Teri has revised and formulated the ACSD 14  safety programs which presently serve as a model to other state school districts and to the Colorado Department of Education. Her work on safety does not go unnoticed. Adams County Sheriff, Doug Darr, who has worked with Teri for over ten years said, "As far as school safety is concerned and keeping kids safe, she is one of the most attentive, conscientious, effective, and proactive people I have ever seen in this effort.
   Teri is active with the district's school resource officers and has been a strong supporter of the SRO program from the time of its inception.

During the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year, a several thousand pound fork lift tipped over, landing on and essentially crushing Summit High School educator, Kristin Yankowski. Thinking quickly and remaining calm, Hayden dialed 911 before attending to  calm Yankowski. According to Yankowski, Hayden was "calm and cool, even with all the blood and confusion that surrounded the situation." She further stated, "He is a huge part of why the ambulance arrives quickly and was able to save my life."

For his quick, life-saving actions, Hayden Hedman is awarded the Intrado Life-saving Medal of Honor from the Colorado Association of School Resource Officers.

During the 2008-09 school year, Jordan Nelson saved the life of a fellow student. On the day of the incident, one of his classmates began to choke on a lollipop. Jordan had just completed a Boy Scout class where he learned the Heimlich maneuver. Jordan was able to keep his calm and perform the Heimlich maneuver, therfore dislodging the lollipop and saving his fellow classmate's life.

For his quick, lif-saving actions, Jordan Nelson is awarded the Intrado Life-saving Medal of Honor from the Colorado Association of School Resource Officers.
