The Colorado Association of School Resource Officers (CASRO) prides itself on the training we provide to our members. CASRO provides training for school resource officers, campus police, school security professionals, educators, and school administrators. Members receive a discount on conference training and free training throughout the year. Our members have been trained by some of the best instructors in the world and we continue to strive to provide the best training available. Learn more about training.

CASRO now offers SRO Leadership Training. It is our mission to assist new school resource officers to gain the knowledge they need to provide excellent service to their school. To assist new officers and supervisors, CASRO also offers SRO mentorship (see below).

The Rocky Mountain Safe Schools Mentorship Program provides mentors to shadow new school resource officers and to be available to answer questions, help with issues, and provide experienced guidance when needed.

We also want to provide supervisors a network to communicate on school safety related issues. The supervisors block allows for new SRO supervisors to meet and train with experienced SRO supervisors. These experiences SRO supervisors are the best and most experienced school safety supervisors in the State. The CASRO Board is a resource to SRO supervisors to assist with areas such as FERPA and information sharing.
